In the story below, ALEX AND ANI Buffalo shares how they helped a new shopper find the perfect bangle for her friend who was receiving cancer treatment.

A woman recently visited us who had never been to an ALEX AND ANI store before. She knew of the brand and that our bangles had meanings behind them, but that was the extent of her knowledge. She explained that she was shopping for her friend who had just been diagnosed with cancer and wanted to get her something with “strength or protection.”
Of course, our first instinct was PATH OF LIFE. She liked that symbol and the meaning behind it, but wanted to see a few more. We also suggested the Eye of Horus, but she still wasn’t sure. She went on to explain that her friend was losing her hair because of the cancer treatment. I quickly suggested the LOTUS PEACE PETALS. I read the three words to the woman from the meaning wall and got her out the card. She read the back and knew this was the one for her friend. She said that her friend was so beautiful even without her hair and knew that this was meant for her.
